This is the sixth article in a series about businesses and services in Dalaran, most which can be visited on Tuesday evenings during the weekly Dalaran night market. As part of this The Lion's Roar has also employed a mystery shopper who has visited the shops, and their comments will be at the bottom of this article. DALARAN - In the mystical city of Dalaran, nestled beside the greenhouse, lies a sanctuary for bibliophiles and seekers of knowledge. The Know-lodge, a bookstore and publishing house, is the brainchild of Kreha'daras Phoenix, a mage with a passion for education and literature. In a lively exchange, Kreha'daras shared insights into the origins and mission of The Know-lodge. "When I arrived in Dalaran, I was struck by the absence of a dedicated bookshop," he explained. "As a mage and a teacher, I wanted to create a space where people could access the vast wealth of knowledge beyond the library's walls." Established nearly five years ago, The Know-lodge not only sells books but also serves as a publishing hub, offering authors a platform to showcase their works. Kreha'daras emphasized the importance of accessibility, highlighting a unique service that allows patrons to request copies of books from the Dalaran library. With a passion for fostering a culture of learning, Kreha'daras has integrated The Know-lodge into the fabric of Dalaran's community. "We host various events in collaboration with The Lounge," he revealed. "From fashion contests to music performances, we strive to offer diverse experiences that enrich the cultural landscape." Reflecting on the significance of books in his life, Kreha'daras emphasized their role as gateways to new worlds and opportunities. "Books are endless opportunities," he enthused. "They provide an escape, a means of learning, and a source of inspiration. My home holds more books than my store!"

Despite the shop's serious academic offerings, Kreha'daras also embraces the lighter side of literature, particularly comics. He highlighted the success of "Captain Azeroth," a popular comic series that originated in Stormwind before evolving into its current iteration. For Kreha'daras, running The Know-lodge is not just a business venture but a labor of love. "It certainly is a passion," he affirmed. "Ninety percent of the profits go into funding my teaching endeavors, ensuring that my students have access to the best resources and equipment." As for operational details, The Know-lodge opens every other Tuesday from eight until ten in the evening, with additional hours available by request. Kreha'daras also welcomes mail orders at any time, ensuring accessibility for patrons beyond Dalaran's borders.

    The Know-lodge

Products on offer: Our secret shopper was extremely impressed with the number of books on offer, and was surprised to find something that even they, as someone not particularly interested in reading, found appealing. A friend they brought with them was so overwhelmed by the choices on offer that they decided to study that catalog later and return. Quality of service: The staff seemed polite and professional, and appeared knowledgeable about the books on offer. They also offered an enchanted catalogue that updated with new entries whenever one was added or removed. Our secret shopper was offered a bag, an offer which they accepted.
