Stormwind's usually tranquil gnome planter became a scene of chaos last Sunday night when a peculiar demonstration turned into a spectacle, leaving witnesses bewildered and guards on high alert. Two anonymous witnesses, who were present during the event, shed light on the unusual occurrence.
According to the witnesses, identified only as a gnome with pigtails and another with a ponytail, the incident unfolded when a newcomer to the area, described as a
"half-gnome," sought to showcase her unique invention—a sentry bot with a surprising twist. Little did the spectators know, this harmless-looking contraption concealed the firepower of a miniature artillery cannon.
"The very short story was that a half-gnome wanted to demonstrate to us how her sentry bot worked," explained one witness.
As the demonstration commenced, the gnome inventor loaded a copper coin into the bot's cannon before firing it randomly into the air. The unsuspecting onlookers watched in astonishment as the coin shot forth, eventually striking a rooftop near the graveyard.
"The guards and a crowd of curious people arrived. It got too folksy, and I left," noted the other witness.
Despite the initial shock and confusion, witnesses insisted they did not feel endangered by the unexpected cannon blast. However, the commotion attracted the attention of Stormwind guards, including Lance Corporal Feyria Silverdawn, who swiftly responded to the scene.

"We heard the shot, and three of us ran over to investigate the source of the shot," Lance Corporal Silverdawn recalled.
Upon arrival, the guards reprimanded the inventor, warning her against future public demonstrations of her invention due to the potential risk to bystanders. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the situation was resolved with a stern warning.
"She was told not to fire it again in public. If she does, she will be charged with public endangerment," Lance Corporal Silverdawn confirmed.
The incident highlighted the challenges faced by authorities in maintaining public safety in a bustling city like Stormwind. Lance Corporal Silverdawn revealed that such incidents were not uncommon, with guards responding to multiple reports of gunshots in the past week alone.
"Three that I have personally responded to: one was an accident with a new gun user, two were crime-related," Lance Corporal Silverdawn disclosed.
