"Friday night in Stormwind City" style, a murder occurred on the wooden docks late Friday night, leaving witnesses horrified and authorities scrambling to piece together the details. The victim, initially only identified as an overweight middle-aged man, was found with his face disfigured due to multiple gunshot wounds. Eyewitnesses and onlookers at the chaotic scene expressed their shock and concern.
Journalists from The Lion's Roar arrived at the scene early after several loud shouts had gone out in the otherwise calm evening air. The circumstances surrounding his death are still being looked into by the City Guards (Whiskey company in this case), but something about the man made us shake some trees and dig into our files.
The dead man, whom we have now identified as David Archer (and guards have confirmed this as well), a controversial figure known for his questionable business practices, had recently enlisted the services of two individuals referred to as the Crest brothers, Mike and Bob. According to an anonymous source, Archer used these brothers to spin a sordid tale of extortion and violence.
Sources tell a story of people being offered housing at extreme rates, and once they fall behind on payment they are forced to carry out dirty deeds. One such story is the tale of a man who ended up carrying rancid smelling boxes which dripped with a red substance. One does not need much imagination to assume that was not tomato soup.

Archer himself supposedly signed over all his belongings to another man prior to murder.
Our sources also point to Archer's newly formed connections with new, unfamiliar figures in the city's underworld and this relationship between Archer and these enigmatic figures took a violent turn Friday evening, where suited individuals, purportedly working for a trio of mysterious bosses subjected Archer to a brutal beating.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that Archer was coerced into a submissive state, apologizing profusely for reasons yet unknown.
As the situation unfolded, guards arrived on the scene (Echo company), questioning the aggressors and Archer. Despite suspicions, the guards were seemingly placated by Archer's assurance that all was well, and the group dispersed without further intervention.
Archer then more or less willingly left with his assailants, heading towards the castle. Exactly what happened next is as of yet unknown, but Archer was found on the wooden pier between Cathedral District and Dwarven district late Friday night.
Archer's life came to an abrupt end with multiple fatal shots echoing through the winter night. Our informants, implies a connection between Archer's demise and ominous new figures in the Stormwind underworld. By all accounts Archer was not a nice guy, and was involved in a multitude of crimes with many victims. Was Archer simply a victim of an act of revenge, or does this whole situation run deeper?
