Women offered coins for private dances!

We all know there are certain parts of the city to avoid, especially at night. Places like Old Town. If one wants to avoid being mugged, attacked, or assaulted it is better to stay around the more peaceful areas like the Lion’s Rest or the Cathedral Square, even if, as this article proves, no place is fully safe. During the past days I have received several complaints from women about a man in the Trade District, although sometimes in the Mage Quarter and even the Cathedral Square, bothering them. They all claim he approaches them with compliments at first, always telling them how good their clothes look, their nice sense of fashion, the quality of the clothes or just how good their outfit is. Flattered by this, and since he does not look dangerous, they answer back, thanking him, maybe explain where they bought it or if it was a gift. Here two things might happen, if women look in a hurry or look busy, this man might ask them what they are doing or where they are heading. Whatever the answer, his next sentence is always the same: “I could pay good money for a dance, if you have the time” . All women I interviewed say they simply rejected the offer and kept walking. Up to this point it is just a bother, maybe an indecent and disrespectful proposal to some women. Anonymous woman 1: “I honestly just wanted to punch him. Does he really think I’m going to say yes? How does he dare to ask me that? I’m married, for the Light’s sake, and I’m loyal to my husband!”

    Article continues after the ad.

I won’t judge the man for this lewd proposal, nor will I judge any woman who may have accepted his proposal. However, the problem all the women I talked to claim to have, is that this was not a one-time thing. This man asked the same women repeatedly and on numerous occasions. Anonymous woman 2: “I’m not sure if he is like… really desperate or he just doesn’t care or see who is in front of him, just other… ehem, body parts. I find it gross.” Anonymous woman 3: “He asked me like three times. I find it stupid how he can’t realize I’m simply not interested, no matter how many times he asks. He should get a hobby or something, maybe read some steamy novels, or visit Goldshire if he really wants a dance” The man is a human, described as average height and built, blond shoulder-length hair, usually wearing a suit without the jacket. None of the women reported it, as asking for a dance in change for coin is not an illegal action, even if on repeated occasions, and he never tried to force them. However, they decided to share their stories and anger so maybe other women can avoid this bothering man, or maybe the man reads this and can start taking notes on who he already asked and got a rejection from.
