Not every time stories come to us, sometimes we must go after them, and so I went by the headquarter of the King’s Footman unit to ask if there were any cases that could be discussed. As much as we love stories, we would never put an investigation at risk, but Captain Stormblade told me of an open case that needs new leads and could be shared. According to Captain Stormblade from Golf Company of the Stormwind City Guards, also known as "The Kings Footmen" then about two weeks ago they began receiving reports about suspicious "heaps" found in the planters around the city. These "heaps" turned out to be poorly hidden stashes of wrapped up packages containing body parts. G. Ravenshade: Where do you typically find the bodies? Captain Stormblade: Chopped up into five or six pieces, put into the bags and left by the planters. One at the Lion's rest and another one not far away from Shady Lady. We also found one at the Cathedral and heard about one being found by others in the Old Town. While initially the guards where quite stumped and was not sure the different bodies where connected, but then the supposed serial killer or killers began to leave wanted posters along with the bundles of body parts. The posters - all official wanted posters - matched the victims found slain within the bundles of bodyparts. Apparently a vigilante serial killer is on the loose. G. Ravenshade: You got any theories so far? Captain Stormblade: During our autopsy reports on all the victims, we've found a single common pattern - injection mark by the neck and a single precise stab wound into the heart to deliver a quick death. Bodies then are neglected from the blood to make it difficult for us to pinpoint an exact time of the victim's death. Based on same autopsy reports, we've concluded that our suspect has a good medical background to perform such clean murders. And thus, our theory is as follows. Said suspect locates his victims, criminals of course, before seeking to lure them into secluded areas where suspect sedates their victim and then performs a single strike to the heart. We are inclined that this is a new serial killer in the town.

His? Might be a bit of an assumption there. But maybe they know more than they told us. G. Ravenshade: Anything else of interest to the public? Captain Stormblade: There was one additional and peculiar detail to the last body we've found. Someone left a letter that seemingly was addressing said killer and challenging our suspect to a "game". We don't know who the author is of said letter but the message also encouraged the reader to flip a letter. If you do such, some sort of a spell will be triggered. Said spell sends a spray of purple-ish arcane-tainted ink to the one who flipped a page. I assume it is some sort of a mark. We ask our readers to be careful, because even if the target seems to be criminals there is always the possibility that an innocent will be involved and hurt. If someone knows something about this case, please report to the King’s Footman who are stationed at City Hall. We have a justice system for a reason, there is no need for people to go around killing others and collaboration is the key to stop criminals before innocents get murdered, remember you never know if tomorrow the corpse found in in a bag in a planter might be your friend, your family or even yourself. You will not be arrested for helping the guards but you can be for with-holding useful information.
